各位同事及歴屆畢業同學：

時光飛逝，歲月催人，自二零零七年五十週年校慶聚餐迄今，轉瞬經年，其間社會動盪，令港人情緒欠佳，先有金融海嘯，繼有豬型流感，想各位或多或少也會受到牽連，但願吉人天相，很快便能平安渡過，有厚望焉。

上次週年聚餐，獲得各屆同學鼎力協助及支持，踴躍參加，節目十分豐富，進行得甚為順利，可算是舉辦得很成功；更喜的是不少離群孤雁，迷途知返，紛紛回巢，終能共聚一堂，久別重逢，互訴離情，悲喜交集，此景此情能不倍加珍惜?其中環節，同學們重返母校參觀，紛紛各自找尋兒時上課的課室座位，遇到印象模糊時，更互相提點，感懷往事，不盡唏噓，盡顯童真，拍照留念，以示不忘；復在禮堂內共唱校歌，歡欣不已，不少同學在校園內流連忘返，不忍遽去，參加者深覺該次聚會，饒有意義，實應不斷舉辦，延續下去，故建議每五年舉辦兩次，用以維繫「東院道官立學校的精神」，不因學校停辦而終止。 該次聚會，唯一憾事，便是主辦者錯誤估計參加人數而引至選錯場地，酒樓內地方狹窄，嚴重地阻礙同學們的活動，更有遲參加者因額滿而見遺，誠甚可惜，謹此致歉。

有關本年度週年聚餐事宜，十數敎師及同學曾在二零零九年六月二日茶聚，及六月八日晚宴進行商討，希望各老師及同學繼續支持，踴躍參加，兹議决如下：

日期：十二月五日(星期六)
地點：好彩酒樓 - 位於灣仔華潤大廈三字樓
費用：每位三佰伍拾元正，十二歲以下小童收弍佰元
酒會時間 ：下午五時至七時
宴會時間 ：下午七時開始
